Can I Get a Refund for an Early Departure?

Here’s what you need to know if you leave your unit before your scheduled checkout date.

We understand that travel plans can change. However, under Vidle Housing’s policy, once your reservation has passed the check-in date, it is considered fully committed, and refunds are not issued for unused nights.

If you check out early:

  • The remaining balance is non-refundable

  • The host retains the security deposit to help cover turnover costs and potential income loss

  • Your reservation will still reflect the original end date

Exception: If your early departure is due to a significant, documented issue (e.g., health or safety concern) that was reported within 24 hours of check-in and not resolved by the host, we may review it on a case-by-case basis.
