Emotional Support Animals & Service Animals

Pet, service animal, and Emotional Support Animal (ESA) policies vary by property on Vidle Housing. Before booking, review the listing details and contact the host if you have questions about their policy.

Pets

Each host sets their own pet policy. Some properties welcome pets, while others do not or may charge additional pet fees.

You can review a property's pet policy in the listing description and House Rules before booking.

Service Animals

Service animals are not considered pets under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Hosts are expected to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding service animals.

If you have questions about bringing a service animal, we recommend contacting the host before booking so everyone is aware of your needs.

Emotional Support Animals (ESAs)

ESA policies may vary depending on the property and applicable housing laws. Some hosts may request documentation, such as an ESA letter from a licensed healthcare professional, when permitted by law.

If you're unsure whether an ESA will be accommodated, contact the host before submitting your reservation request.

If you have questions about a property's pet, service animal, or ESA policy, our Customer Experience team is happy to help you contact the host before booking.
