Ready to onboard to the Virtually Student Relationship Manage (SRM) so you can make sure your team keeps a pulse on student engagement? That's great!

Here are the steps you'll need to take to get on board:

How to Onboard to the Virtually SRM

1. Create a Virtually account if you don’t already have one.

You can do so using this link.

2. Request access to the Virtually SRM by emailing us at hello@tryvirtually.com.

We'll confirm once the SRM features have been turned on for your account.

How will you know if you have access? Just click “Insights” and check to see if you have the “Reports” tab:

3. Set up key integrations.

Slack

First, connect to Slack (this will take 30-minutes or so for data to start flowing in). You can read the full details of this integration here.

In the meantime, here are the high-level details you'll really need to know:

  • A Virtually bot will automatically join your public channels to pull in engagement data

  • You'll need to manually add to your private channels if you’d like to fetch private channel engagement

    • Or go to channel settings and “Add an app”

  • Once you complete the integration, Virtually will back-pull data for the last 30 days.

Zoom

You can connect to Zoom by heading to Settings, then clicking into the integrations tab. Learn more about how to integrate with Zoom here.

Google Calendar

You can connect to Google Calendar by heading to Settings, then clicking into the integrations tab. Learn more about how to integrate with Google Calendar here.

4. Create your first report

Reports enable you to get a pulse on student progress by allowing you to pull lists of students that meet specific risk criteria. The risk criteria is based off of data that your organization chooses to port into Virtually .

You can learn all about reports in Virtually here.

Examples of some reports to create:

  • If you already have hosted past events with Virtually:

    • Absences > 1 in the last 90 days

  • If you have Slack engagement data loaded:

    • Slack posts > 1 & Slack reactions > 1

5. Create Automations (coming soon)

Soon, you'll be able to create automations to proactively reach out to students that meet specific risk criteria. This can be in the form of a Slack DM, Email, and eventually SMS. Stay tuned!
