Affidavit
Written, sworn statement made under oath by a person that is used as evidence in a case.
Cover Letter or Attorney Letter
A letter prepared and signed by the attorney, acting as the client’s representative.
Exhibits
These are the actual supporting documents (like passports, letters, forms, etc.) that back up the case. Each one is usually labeled (e.g., Exhibit 1, Exhibit 2) and corresponds to an item on the index.
Index
This is a list or table that outlines all the exhibits included in the submission. It acts like a roadmap, showing the order and title of each exhibit for easy reference.
Personal Statement
Document where an applicant, qualifying relative, petitioner, etc. explains their reasons for seeking immigration benefits and provides details about their case.
Project
A place where you organize and manage all documents, templates, and drafts related to a specific case or client. It keeps everything in one spot, making it easy to track progress and work together.
Process Type
A process type refers to the specific immigration procedure or category a case falls under such as H-1B, O-1, Asylum, etc.
Support Letter or Petitioner Letter
Letter prepared by the attorney for review and signature by HR or Global Mobility.
Section
Distinct part that organizes content by topic or purpose, such as an introduction, background, or conclusion. It helps structure the letter so the information flows clearly and logically. Each process type has been broken down into a standardized set of sections, which are drafted individually and then integrated into a cohesive final document.
Sub-project
Smaller part of a larger project, focused on a specific task or section within that main project.
Template
A document broken down into component sections, each providing an example of the expected content, structure, scope, and tone for that section. It is not currently intended to dictate formatting, though that functionality is likely to be introduced in version 2.0.
Additional terms will be added as they become available.
