Creating a Chat

Quick step-by-step guide: Steps to creating a new Chat

Chat Interface:

As mentioned, there are three chat modes: Legal Research, Document Q&A, and PrivateGPT. Simply put, these are features that allow the user to interact in a chat-style interface.

Each chat is saved to the Chat History panel after being created. Similar to other GPTs, the chat name is updated in real time after you ask a question or query. You can also search the chat history by using the search field shown below.

Each mode has a different icon and color scheme. See the different designations below.

Download and/or Copy Response in Chat

Any time you receive an output inside GEN you will see the following options.

When you click the download icon, you should see options to download in either text or Word format.

You can also copy the response in text format using the copy icon if you want to paste it elsewhere.

Provide Response Feedback

You can easily provide feedback on a specific response by clicking the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" icons. Clicking "thumbs up" does not trigger any additional steps; we just take this as positive feedback. If you select "thumbs down" there is a simple text box where you can explain why the response from GEN is unsatisfactory. This response goes directly to our team for consideration.

*NOTE: Leaving feedback is not the same as requesting technical support and DOES NOT create a support ticket in the system. To learn more about Support Options, click the link below.

Prompts in Chat

When in Chat mode, you can utilize System Prompts or your own custom prompts in the platform. See the link below to learn more about prompts in GEN.
