When Are Notifications Sent?
VMC notifications are typically sent when:
✅ A visitor arrives
✅ A delivery needs collection
✅ An emergency is activated
✅ A booking reminder is triggered
Notification Types & Fixes
📧 Email Notifications
Ensure your email is entered correctly in your account settings.
Check your spam/junk folder for missing emails.
Make sure your email provider is not blocking emails from VMC.
📱 SMS Notifications
Verify that your mobile number is entered correctly, including the international dial code:
Australia: +61xxxxxxxxxx
USA: +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx
UK: +44xxxxxxxxxx
SMS messages are sent from an international origin and may be branded with your organization's name.
VMC will detect your location settings if configured in the web dashboard.
📲 Push Notifications (VMC Mobile App)
Push notifications are available for users with the VMC Mobile employee app (iPhone & Android).
Ensure the app has permissions for location access and camera.
The app must be connected to the internet to receive notifications.
💻 Desktop & Live Notifications
Desktop notifications appear when users are logged into the VMC web dashboard on a browser.
Ensure your web browser allows notifications from the VMC website.
Check that your location settings are enabled in the browser.
🔍 Self-Diagnosis: Check Your Notification Logs
1️⃣ Go to Settings > Notifications Logs to see if messages were sent.
2️⃣ If the message is listed but wasn’t received, check local settings with your IT admin.
