VMC now enables administrators to support Return Visitor and Pre-Registered Visitor check-in by configuring the workflow's Full Name field to identify previously signed-in visitors and pre-registered attendees.
When the Full Name Matches a Previous Visitor
When a visitor enters a name that matches an existing visitor record, they can choose to:
Sign in using the matched visitor record, or
Complete the form as a new visitor by selecting "Not you? Unlink".
If the matched visitor record is selected, any previously stored form data is automatically reused where applicable. The visitor must still complete the remaining steps in the workflow before their check-in is finalized.
When the Full Name Matches a Pre-Registered Attendee
When the entered name matches a pre-registered attendee, the visitor is prompted to continue with the existing pre-registration or select "Not Me!" to proceed with completing the form instead.
If the visitor continues with the matched pre-registration, they are not required to complete the remaining steps in the workflow, as their pre-registration is used to complete the check-in process.
