Updated over a week ago

Enable Offender Checks

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings->Security.

  2. Toggle on Offender Check. This activates Offender Check scanning for the campus against the National Sex Offender Public Registry.

Set the Search Level

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings->Security.

  2. Under Offender Check, select the Search Level of the offender search:

    1. Require name only

    2. Require name and date of birth

    3. Require name, date of birth, and state

This will configure the sensitivity of the offender search. For example, if set tto Require name only, Visitu will flag all users whose names match the name or alias of an offender, regardless of their date of birth or registry state.

Choose who gets Notified

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings->Security.

  2. Under Offender Check, enter Who To Notify in the event of an offender alert.

This can be a specific user or an entire role. Notifiables will be sent email, text, and/or Visitu Mobile notifications.

Require Manual Verification

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings->Security.

  2. Under Offender Check, toggle on Require Verification.

When enabled, Visitu will require manual verification for a potential offender to check-in. Otherwise, a potential offender will be checked in and receive a badge like normal, but the configured users will still be notified.
