Offender Check

The Offender Check feature enhances campus security by enabling the matching of names and dates of birth against the National Sex Offender Public Registry (NSOPR) database.

  1. Enable Offender Check:

    • Toggle the switch to enable or disable the offender check.

  2. Search Level:

    • Adjust the sensitivity of the offender search.

    • Options:

      • Require name only

      • Require name and date of birth

      • Require name, date of birth, and state

  3. Who To Notify:

    • Choose roles or users to receive offender alerts.

    • Select from the available options in the dropdown menu.

  4. Require Verification:

    • Optionally, mandate manual verification by the security team when an offender is found.

    • Toggle the switch to enable or disable manual verification.

Send Check-In Notifications to All Users in a Selected Role

This global setting allows administrators to send check-in notifications to all users in a specified role. Use this feature with caution as it affects all users in the chosen role.

  1. Select Role for Notifications:

    • Choose a role to receive global check-in notifications.

    • Avoid selecting roles like visitor, parent, or student to prevent unwanted messages.

  2. Who To Notify:

    • Specify roles or users to be alerted of offender check-ins.

    • Select from the available options in the dropdown menu.

iPad Settings Password

The iPad Settings Password feature adds an extra layer of security when making changes or logging out of enrolled iPads in kiosk mode.

  1. Require iPad Settings Password:

    • Input a password to secure changes to or logout from enrolled iPads.

    • The password can be set and modified as needed.

These security settings contribute to a safer campus environment by proactively identifying potential concerns and securing iPad configurations. Adjust these settings according to the specific security requirements of your institution.
