Integrating FACTS with Visitu can streamline your school's operations by synchronizing data between these platforms. This guide provides detailed steps to configure FACTS and generate an API key for seamless integration with Visitu.
Step 1: Configure FACTS Permissions Ensure that your FACTS security group has the "API Configuration" permission enabled. This permission is not enabled by default. Follow these steps:
Log in to your FACTS account.
Navigate to the Security module.
Locate your security group and enable the "API Configuration" permission.
Log out of your FACTS account and log back in for the changes to take effect.
Step 2: Access API Configuration in FACTS Once the "API Configuration" permission is enabled, you can proceed to configure the API settings in FACTS:
Log in to your FACTS account.
Go to the Configuration menu.
Select "API Configuration" from the dropdown.
Step 3: Create an API Key In the API Configuration section, follow these steps to generate a new API key:
Click on the "Create API Key" button.
Enter 'Subscription ID' 136b5fad7efd473b9fcd96800e2e9f3b when prompted.
Choose 'District Wide' as the scope for the API key.
Grant all necessary read permissions for comprehensive data access.
Step 4: Copy and Paste the API Key After creating the API key, you need to copy it and paste it into the designated field in Visitu:
Copy the generated API key.
Open Visitu and navigate to the integration settings.
Locate the API Key field and paste the copied API key.
