Configuring the PowerSchool integration

Integrating PowerSchool with Visitu can streamline your school;s operations by syncing data between the two platforms. Below are the steps for ensuring an easy setup.

Step 1: Download the Visitu PowerSchool Plugin To begin the integration process.

Step 2: Access the Plugin Management Dashboard in PowerSchool Once you have the Visitu PowerSchool plugin downloaded, follow these steps to access the Plugin Management Dashboard:

  • Log in to your PowerSchool administrator account.

  • Navigate to Setup -> System -> System Settings -> Plugin Management Configuration.

Step 3: Install and Enable the Visitu Plugin In the Plugin Management Configuration section, follow these steps to install and enable the Visitu plugin:

  • Click on the "Install" button and choose the downloaded Visitu plugin zip file, you do not need to extract the zip file.

  • Once installed, enable the plugin by checking the corresponding box.

Step 4: Obtain and Enter Client ID and Client Secret After enabling the Visitu plugin, you need to enter the required credentials to establish the connection between PowerSchool and Visitu:

  • On Visitu dashboard navigate to Setting -> Integrations -> Add to Visitu

  • Copy the provided Client ID and Client Secret from PowerShool.

  • Paste the copied credentials into the designated fields inside the configuration.

Step 5: Map User Roles and run your first sync.
