Automatically pause speech at specific words or phrases.
Open Voice Settings
On the reading list screen, tap the Voice button at the bottom left to open Voice Settings.
Open Add Pause
In Voice Settings, tap Add Pause.
When the Add Pause screen opens, tap + at the top right.
Add a pause word
Enter the word or phrase and set the pause duration (in seconds), then tap Save at the top right.
Edit or delete a pause word
Tap an existing entry to edit it, or swipe left on an entry to delete it.
Turn pause rules on or off
When pause rules are registered, an Enable switch appears at the top of the list. Turn it off to temporarily stop inserting pauses without deleting the rules. Voice Settings also shows On or Off next to Add Pause.
Search registered pause rules
When you have 10 or more registered pause rules, a search field appears at the top of the list. Enter registered text in Search to show only matching rules.
