Register words that tend to be mispronounced to adjust how they are read aloud.
You can add entries manually from Voice Settings, or by selecting text in the reading screen.
Open Register Pronunciation from Voice Settings
1. Open the reading list.
2. Tap the Voice button at the bottom left.
3. Tap Register Pronunciation in the voice settings.
Add a pronunciation entry
1. Tap + at the top right.
2. Enter the Phrase (the word as it appears in the text) and the Pronunciation (how it should be pronounced).
3. Tap Save at the top right to register.
Edit or delete an entry
Tap an existing entry to edit it, or swipe left on an entry to delete it.
Turn pronunciation rules on or off
When pronunciations are registered, an Enable switch appears at the top of the list. Turn it off to temporarily stop using registered pronunciations without deleting them. Voice Settings also shows On or Off next to Register Pronunciation.
Search registered pronunciations
When you have 10 or more registered pronunciations, a search field appears at the top of the list. Enter a phrase or pronunciation in Search to show only matching rules.
