Setting up your System Settings

It is important that this is one of the first things you do. It ensures the information that the volunteers see on the app is correct and accurate.

Your system settings are one of the first things we recommend customising when you get access to your Volunteero dashboard.

Jump to sections for:

Organisation

Time to ensure your volunteers know who you are, what you're about, how to contact you, and follow you on social media!

Go to the "System Settings" page on the left-hand side of the Staff Dashboard.

Here you can populate the following sections of your account:

  1. Upload your organisation's logo and fill in the required details in the organisation's information tab.

  2. Update your organisation's name (if you need to!)

  3. Customise your Public ID, which appears on your Opportunities search page

  4. Website link

  5. Complete your organisation overview

Top Tip: Your organisation's overview is visible to prospective volunteers who download the app, looking for charities to apply to. So it's a great way to use this section to explain what your organisation does, your mission, and the types of opportunities/ roles offered. Basically, why should they choose to volunteer with you?

In the contact page, you can add a general contact email and phone number for volunteers to contact for support or other enquiries. You can also add the links to your charity's Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram page.

All the information above, the volunteer can be accessed under the organisation tab in a mission, and will look like this.

Quotas

Here you can access your organisation's Volunteero quota. This includes numbers relating to your account usage, such as staff users, volunteers with app access, the number of missions, and so on!

Any questions about your quota, please contact our team.

Hub organisations

Hubs provide a central place to standardise Volunteero implementations across multiple operational organisations. Once activated, your organisation will receive all resources from the hub, and your insights data will be available to the hub. Only the hub organisation can manage the status of your membership. This feature is only relevant for certain charities, and you will know if your organisation is expected to use a hub.

Customisation

Here you can adjust the colours of some buttons within the dashboard and on the Volunteero app. For full information on custom branding, please refer to this guide.
