We help you understand why LinkedIn may display a warning or temporarily restrict an account, and how to respond to reduce risks.
💡 Good to know
Waalaxy is 100% undetectable as a tool by LinkedIn.
LinkedIn cannot directly identify the use of an automation tool. However, it does analyze changes in account activity patterns.
LinkedIn warnings
Why did I receive a LinkedIn warning?
A warning usually appears when the volume of actions performed from your profile suddenly increases (profile visits, invitations, messages, etc.).
How do LinkedIn restrictions work?
LinkedIn automatically analyses user activity. Certain variations may trigger security measures, such as:
A warning indicating unusual activity (e.g. “high number of profile views”)
A temporary account restriction (24 to 48 hours)
➡️ This restriction may occur repeatedly as long as LinkedIn considers your account to be “under review”.
💡 An abnormal volume of actions may trigger a warning or restriction, but not an immediate ban.
Managing warnings
After a first warning
Disable the Waalaxy extension for 24 to 48 hours.
Then gradually resume activity.
After a second warning
⚠️ We strongly advise against telling LinkedIn support that you use Waalaxy.
This can complicate—or even prevent—the recovery of your account.
Recommended actions:
Disable the extension until the restriction is fully lifted.
Once access is restored, apply the following best practices:
Reduce your action quotas by in half.
Avoid importing large volumes of prospects from a LinkedIn search.
Limit the number of prospects active simultaneously in your campaigns
(Waalaxy regularly checks their status, which increases activity).
How does Waalaxy protect your LinkedIn account?
Automatic quota management
To replicate human behavior, Waalaxy automatically adjusts your quotas every day.
The number of actions performed corresponds to a random quota between 80% and 100% of the maximum limit you set.
This variation prevents sending the same volume of actions every day—a pattern LinkedIn may identify as automation.
Example:
Configured daily invitation quota: 100 invitations max
Invitations sent:
Monday: 82
Tuesday: 93
Wednesday: 80
When can a LinkedIn account be permanently banned?
The most common causes of a permanent ban are:
Non-compliant profile photo (AI-generated images are easily detected)
Fake name or missing real name
Content that violates LinkedIn’s policies
Repeated spam reports from users
Logging in from an IP address shared with a banned account
My LinkedIn account has been banned: what should I do?
Unfortunately, Waalaxy does not comply with LinkedIn’s Terms of Service.
As a result, we have no leverage to recover a banned account 😢
💡 Good to know
If your banned LinkedIn account had an active Waalaxy subscription, you can contact Waalaxy support.
The team can transfer your subscription to a new LinkedIn profile, allowing you to continue using the tool.
