Here's how to book an appointment that repeats every week, like a regular Monday and Wednesday walk. You book it once, and Walkies adds every visit to your calendar.
Book a repeating appointment
Tap Appts and choose the day of the first visit.
Tap the + button and choose Appointment. On iPad, the + is at the top of the list.
Choose the pets and tap Next.
If you have a team, choose who's doing it and tap Next.
Choose the service and tap Next.
Add any add-ons, then tap Next.
Check the time, then turn on Repeat.
Tick the days it repeats on. The first visit's day is ticked for you.
Check the Repeat end date. It starts six months after the first visit. Tap Next.
Check the appointment and tap the ✓ to book it.
How repeats work
Appointments repeat weekly, on the days you tick, until the end date. The end date can be up to a year from today.
Each visit is its own appointment on your calendar, so you can change or cancel one without touching the rest.
The total on the appointment screen is for every visit in the series. Tap it to see how it's worked out.
Your client gets one message for the whole series. Use the button at the top of the appointment to turn this off.
If you add more than one date on the date screen, each date repeats weekly on its own day of the week.
Change or cancel a repeating appointment
Open any visit and make your change. When you tap back, choose Save for this appointment only or Save for future appointments.
To cancel, open a visit, tap ... at the top right, and choose Delete this appointment only or Delete future appointments. Visits before it are kept.
Invoicing a repeating appointment
Choose how it's invoiced under Invoice on the appointment screen, before you book it:
When booked creates one invoice straight away, covering every visit up to the end date. See How do I invoice an appointment when I book it?
When started creates an invoice for each visit as you start it. See How do I invoice an appointment when it starts?
No invoice leaves billing to you, for example with automated invoices.
