Here's how to record a pet taxi trip, so your client can follow the journey and gets a report when their pet arrives.
Record a taxi trip
On Home, tap Activity.
Choose Taxi.
Choose the pets and tap Start. The trip is tracked with GPS, like a walk.
When you arrive, tap End, add any notes, and tap End again.
What your client gets
"Taxi started" with a link to follow the journey live in the Walkies Journal app.
"Taxi finished" with the report: route map, distance and your notes.
Turn these off in Menu > Client notifications > Taxis.
Pick up and drop off
Pick up and Drop off on Home are separate from taxi trips. They tell your client their pet has been collected or dropped home, without tracking a route. See How do I mark pets as picked up and dropped off?
Good to know
Taxi trips can carry any type of pet.
If you've picked pets up, Activity offers Taxi with picked up pets to start straight away.
To hide the route from clients until the trip ends, turn on Hide route during walk/taxi. See How do I hide my route or change activity settings?
Taxi trips aren't saved to Apple Health.
