Walkies works with however your clients like to pay. Clients pay from the invoice, either in the Walkies Journal app or from the invoice link Walkies emails them, which opens in any web browser. Every way to pay works in both places, so clients don't need the app to pay you.
Ways your clients can pay
Walkies Pay (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay): clients tap Pay on the invoice, in the app or from the invoice link, and it's marked paid for you. See How do I set up Walkies Pay?
Payment links (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App): the invoice has a Pay button that opens your link, in the app and from the invoice link. See How do I add my payment details?
Zelle, check, bank transfer: your details are shown on the invoice, in the app and from the invoice link. See How do I add my payment details?
Cash or anything else: record it on the invoice when you're paid. See How do I record a payment?
Getting paid automatically
When they book: clients pay by card when they request an appointment, and it's only taken when you accept. See How do I take payment when clients book?
Auto-pay: a client's invoices are paid from their card as soon as they're created. Needs Walkies Max. See How does client auto-pay work?
Choosing the payment method
Set your company's usual method in Menu > Invoices > Preferred payment method.
Set a client's own in their profile, under Preferred payment method. It comes first.
Every invoice can use a different method. It's chosen when you create it.
After they pay
Walkies Pay invoices are marked paid automatically. For other methods, record the payment. See How do I record a payment?
To refund a payment, see How do I refund a payment?
To give a client money off, see How do I give a client credit?
Payouts to your bank
Walkies Pay is run by Stripe. Walkies takes no fee: you pay Stripe's card fee for your country. See What are the Walkies Pay fees?
Card payments, including tips clients add when they pay, are paid out to your bank account.
Your balance and payouts are in Menu > Walkies Pay, under Balances and Transactions.
If the status there says Action needed, tap it to give Stripe what it needs. Payouts are held until it's sorted.
