Walkies Pay lets your clients pay invoices by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, straight from the invoice. Invoices are marked paid automatically, and the money goes to your bank account. It's run by Stripe.
Set up Walkies Pay
Tap the menu button on Home. On iPad, it's in the sidebar.
Under Finance, tap Walkies Pay.
Tap Read more, then Set up.
Choose Set up new account, or Connect an existing account if you already use Stripe.
Fill in Stripe's form: your business details, identity and bank account. It opens inside Walkies and closes by itself when you've finished.
You'll see You're all set! Tap Done.
Check it's working
Open Menu > Walkies Pay. The status at the top should say No action needed. If it says Action needed, Bank account required or Identity verification required, tap it to give Stripe what it needs. Payouts are held until it's sorted.
Fees and payouts
Walkies takes no fee. You pay Stripe's card fee for your country, like 2.9% + $0.30 in the US or 1.5% + 20p in the UK. It's shown on the Walkies Pay screen before you set up, and on each Walkies Pay invoice. For every country, see What are the Walkies Pay fees?
To pass the fee on to your clients, turn on Customer pays processing fee in Menu > Client booking. It's added to their total instead of coming out of your payout. Check that this is allowed where you work. It applies to invoices created after you turn it on.
Your balance and payouts are on the Walkies Pay screen, under Balances and Transactions.
What your clients see
A Pay button on the invoice in the Walkies Journal app and on the invoice link you share. They can pay by card or Apple Pay, and add a tip.
When they pay, the invoice is marked paid, they get a receipt, and you're told.

Good to know
Only admins and sub-admins can set up Walkies Pay.
You can't record payments by hand on a Walkies Pay invoice. To record cash for one, change its payment method first.
