How do I send a client a link to add their own details?

Invite a new client to add their details in the Walkies Journal app and connect.

Here's how to send a new client a link, so they can add their own details in the Walkies Journal app and are connected to you straight away.

Send a link

  1. Tap Clients, then the + button. On iPad, the + is at the top of the list.

  2. Choose Send link.

  3. Choose how to send it, like Messages, WhatsApp or email. A message explaining what to do goes with it.

What your client does

  1. Taps the link and downloads the Walkies Journal app.

  2. Signs up with their email, Apple or Google.

  3. Fills in their name, email, phone number, address, emergency contact and any custom questions you've set up, and taps Connect.

  4. Adds their pets.
    ​

What you see

  • They appear in your Clients list straight away, already connected to the Journal app.

  • Their pets appear once they've added them.

  • Email notifications are on for them to start with.

Good to know

  • Each link works once, for one household, and lasts 30 days. Send a new link to each client.

  • Sending links needs a paid plan. On the free plan you can add up to 4 clients by hand.

  • If you ask clients to sign contracts, they're sent automatically when the client connects.

  • VPNs and ad blockers can stop the link opening the app. If it doesn't connect, ask them to tap the link again.
