Here's how to track a trip, like driving between visits, so your mileage is logged with its route.
Track a trip
On Home, tap Log travel.
Tap Track travel log.
Enter your Odometer start reading and tap Start, or tap Skip.
Drive. The map shows your route, time and distance as you go. Tap ✕ to leave the screen; tracking carries on.
When you arrive, tap End, then End travel logging.
Enter your Odometer end reading and tap Done, or tap Skip.
While it's running, the trip shows on Home and on your Lock Screen.
Other ways to start
From an appointment: tap its travel button and choose Track travel log, or Log travel in its options. The trip is linked to that appointment and its pets.
From the Travel log button on the Quick Start widget.
How it works
Distance is measured from your phone's GPS, in miles or kilometers depending on your region.
Starting an appointment stops a trip that's running.
Walks and taxis track their own routes, so they aren't trips.
To stop being asked for odometer readings, turn on Don't ask for odometer readings when travel logging, or go to Menu > Your app settings > Activity settings.
Walkies needs location access to track. If it's off, you'll be asked to turn it on in Settings.
See your trips
Menu > Travel logs shows your trips and Total distance logged for the period you pick. Tap the share button, then Export, for a spreadsheet (CSV).
Good to know
Team members' mileage can be paid through payroll, using the mileage rate on their profile.
Trips don't add expenses. Add fuel as an expense if you claim it that way.
Tracking needs a Walkies plan.
