Here's how to book a stay in the Walkies Journal app, like boarding, an overnight stay, home sitting or daycare. A stay has a start and an end, and the total covers the whole stay.
Book a stay
On Home, tap Book appointment.
Choose the type of stay, like Overnight stay, Boarding or Daycare. If there's more than one service of that type, choose one.
On the calendar, tap the day the stay starts, then the day it ends. The days in between are marked for you.
Tap Next.
Choose the time the stay starts.
Choose the time it ends. Your booking opens.
Check the dates and the total, then tap Send request.
How a stay is priced
Your pet sitter decides how each stay is priced:
Per night stays charge for each night, so Friday to Monday is three nights. They need at least two days.
Per day stays, like daycare, charge for every day, counting the first and last. A per day stay can be a single day.
The total on Your booking shows the count, like ×3 nights. Add-ons are charged once for the whole stay.
Good to know
The start and end times are requests. Your pet sitter will let you know if they need to change them.
A stay is one request, and one appointment once it's accepted.
