Here's how to save a photo, video or GIF to your phone's Photos app from the Walkies Journal app. Every photo and video you open full screen has a download button, on walks and visits and in messages.
Save a photo or video
On Home, tap View latest walk, or open the walk or visit from All activities.
Tap Gallery.
Tap the photo or video you want.
Tap the download button at the top left.
You'll see Photo downloaded or Video downloaded, and it's in your Photos app.
Save one from a message
Tap Messages.
Tap the photo, video or GIF in the message to see it full screen.
Tap the download button at the top left.
Good to know
You can also touch and hold a photo in the gallery and choose Download.
Photos and videos on your Home timeline have the download button too, once you tap them.
You get the original photo or video. GIFs stay animated, and videos are saved as videos.
The first time, your phone may ask to let Walkies Journal add to your photos. Tap Allow.
If you've turned off photos access for Walkies Journal, you'll see Turn on photos access. Tap Open settings, allow access to Photos, then try again.
Photos, videos and GIFs in messages are removed after 30 days, so save them before then. See Can I send photos, videos and GIFs to my pet sitter?
On the web, they're saved to your computer's downloads.
