If your pet sitter is on Walkies Max, you can send them photos, videos and GIFs in the Messages tab, and they can send them to you. Here's how it works.
Can I send them?
If you see + to the left of the message box in Messages, you can.
If there's no +, your pet sitter's plan doesn't include photos, videos and GIFs in messages. You can still send text, and you still get the photos and videos from your walks and visits.
What you can send
Up to 4 photos, videos or GIFs in one message, with or without text. See How do I send a photo or video to my pet sitter? and How do I send a GIF to my pet sitter?
Videos can be up to 30 MB, which is about 4 minutes. The app makes a longer video smaller to fit if it can. If it can't, you'll see Videos can be up to 30 MB. Try a shorter clip.
Removed after 30 days
Photos, videos and GIFs in messages are removed 30 days after they're sent, for you and your pet sitter. The text of the message stays.
In their place, you'll see Removed after 30 days, with View timeline, which takes you to Home.
Photos and videos from your walks and visits aren't removed. They stay on your timeline.
To keep one from a message, save it before then. See How do I save a photo or video?
Good to know
Tap a photo, video or GIF in a message to see it full screen. Videos play there.
When a message has no text, its notification says what was sent, like "Sent a photo".
If a message shows "Sent a photo" instead of the photo, update the Walkies Journal app.
Deleting one of your messages deletes its photos, videos and GIFs too.
