On Walkies Max, you and your clients can send each other photos, videos and GIFs in messages. Here's who can send them, the limits, and what happens to them after 30 days.
Who can send them
You: admins and sub-admins can send photos, videos and GIFs from a client's conversation in Inbox, when your business is on Walkies Max.
Your clients: they can send them back from the Messages tab in the Walkies Journal app, while your business is on Walkies Max.
On other plans, tapping + beside the message box shows the Walkies Max plan, so you can upgrade. Your clients don't see the + button.
Team members don't have an Inbox, so they can't send them. The Feed on walks and visits is for text, emoji reactions and updates.
What you can send
Up to 4 photos, videos or GIFs in one message, with or without text.
Photos and videos you take there and then, or ones from your library. See How do I send a photo or video in a message?
GIFs from the GIF search, or animated GIFs from your library. See How do I send a GIF in a message?
Videos can be up to 30 MB, which is about 4 minutes. The app makes a longer video smaller to fit if it can. If it can't, you'll see Videos can be up to 30 MB. Try a shorter clip.
Message all clients sends text only.
Removed after 30 days
Photos, videos and GIFs in messages are removed 30 days after they're sent, for you and your client. The text of the message stays.
In their place, you both see Removed after 30 days. Your client also gets View timeline, which takes them to their walks and visits.
To keep photos and videos on your client's timeline, add them to a walk or visit instead. See How do I add photos and videos to a visit?
To keep one for yourself, save it before then. See How do I save a photo or video to my phone?
Notifications and the Inbox
When a message has no text, its push notification says what was sent, like "Sent a photo" or "Sent 2 videos".
In Inbox, a conversation's last message shows Photo, Video or GIF, or how many, like "2 photos".
Clients on an older version of the Walkies Journal app see a line like "Sent a photo" instead. They need to update the app to see the photo.
Good to know
Tap a photo, video or GIF in a message to see it full screen. Videos play there.
Deleting a message deletes its photos, videos and GIFs too.
GIF search is powered by KLIPY.
