Here's how to send a client photos or videos in a message, on Walkies Max. You can send up to 4 at once, with or without text.
Take a photo or video
Tap Inbox and open the conversation with your client. To start a new one, see How do I message a client?
Tap + to the left of the message box.
Tap Take photo or video.
Take the photo, or switch to video and record, then confirm it.
It appears inside the message box, above your text. Type a message to go with it if you like.
Tap the send button.
Choose from your library
In the conversation, tap + to the left of the message box.
Tap Choose from library.
Pick up to 4 photos and videos, and confirm.
They appear inside the message box. Type a message if you like, and tap the send button.
Before you send
Your photos and videos sit in a row inside the message box, above your text. Swipe sideways to see them all.
Tap the x on one to take it out.
Videos show how long they are.
Tap + again to add more, up to 4 in one message. Any more and you'll see You can add up to 4 photos, videos or GIFs.
After you send
Your message shows its progress while it uploads.
If it can't send, you'll see Couldn't send. Tap to retry. Tap it to try again. In the web app, you'll see "Couldn't send." with Retry and Remove.
Your client gets a push notification. If there's no text, it says what you sent, like "Sent a photo".
Tap a photo or video in the conversation to see it full screen.
Good to know
It needs Walkies Max. On other plans, + shows the Walkies Max plan.
Videos can be up to 30 MB, which is about 4 minutes. The app makes a longer video smaller to fit if it can. The web app can't, so there the file itself must be 30 MB or less.
In the web app on a computer, there's no Take photo or video. Use Choose from library to pick a file.
Photos and videos in messages are removed after 30 days. To keep them on your client's timeline, add them to a walk or visit instead. See How do photos, videos and GIFs in messages work?
