This comprehensive guide walks you through Walla's payroll report features, covering everything from accessing employee pay stubs to understanding payroll summaries, managing time clock entries, handling class payments, overseeing enrollments and appointments, and tracking commissions.
Employee paystubs within Walla can be accessed in three different areas:
Business Settings: Navigate to the business settings to access all staff members' paystubs.
Staff Section: Under the main navigation menu, you'll find a staff section where all staff members' paystubs are available.
Individual Profiles: Access individual employee paystubs directly from the respective staff member's profile.
Access Paystub
Staff can access their own pay stubs directly under their profile.
To access a staff member’s pay stub:

To access the payroll master from the main navigation menu:
From the main navigation menu select Staff
Choose Payroll
Select the Pay Stubs tab
To access the payroll master from Business Settings:
Select your profile icon on the top right
Select Payroll
Payroll Summary Tile
Total Gross
Sum of Time Clock/Salary, Classes, Enrollments, Appointments, and Commission pay for the selected period.
Time Clock/Salary
Totals all time clock/ salary pay for the selected period.
Classes
Totals all class pay for the selected period.
Enrollments
Totals all enrollment pay for the selected period.
Appointments
Totals all appointment pay for the selected period.
Commission
Totals all commission pay for the selected period.
Time Clock or Salary Hours
Time clock or salary hours are calculated based on the time clock hours. Time clock detail for each staff member can be found under the staff member’s profile on the Time Clock tab. Time Clock clock in rates are created under the staff members profile, located under the Sensitive Info Tab in a section called Roles and Compensation.
Select the teal edit pencil next to the total to Edit Timeclock. View staff clock in and clock out notes by selecting the grey notebook. Once notes are entered they can not be edited.

Class payroll terms
It is important to note that if a class has multiple instructors, only the first staff member will display on payroll. Select a class to link to the associated class on the class roster to view more details.

Class Pay Bonus on Payroll
If a staff member has received any bonus amount within their pay class, the figure will be displayed. For any non-zero bonus, the amount will be clickable on a per-head or per-goal basis. However, if the bonus amount is $0.00, it won't be clickable and won't generate a 'Class Bonus Detail' pop-up.
Clicking on the bonus amount when the pay has a bonus will generate a 'Class Bonus Detail' pop-up, providing a breakdown of the bonus settings for pay rates with either a bonus that is a per head bonus or a flat fee for reaching goal.
To see the pop-up detail, pop on over to Payroll and find a class where an instructor is paid a bonus. The bonus will be teal and clickable. Select the teal text, view the pop-up.
Important things to know about enrollments and payroll
If a class has multiple instructors, only the first staff member will display on payroll.
Enrollment pay always appears at the start of the enrollment regardless if they enrollment has a payment plan.

Enrollment Pay Bonus Pop-up
Enrollment Bonus Pay Pop-Up: If the staff member has received any bonus amount within enrollment pay, the amount will be clickable.
If a staff member has received any bonus amount within their enrollment, the figure will be displayed. For any non-zero bonus, the amount will be clickable on a per-head or per-goal basis. Important things to know about appointments on payroll
Unsettled appointments will appear on payroll.
Refunding an appointment from the does not remove the appointment pay from payroll. The appointment must be canceled in order for it to be removed from payroll.
Late canceled and early canceled appointments do not count towards payroll.

ℹ️ How is percentage appointment pay calculated?
Staff will receive a percentage of the business's revenue, but this percentage is calculated based only on the base revenue, excluding tips, taxes, and specific fees related to no-shows or late cancellations.
Commission
Commission is manually added by a staff member directly to payroll. Commission can not be automatically calculated based on a product or service.
To add commission to a staff member’s payroll follow these steps:
From the main navigation menu select Staff
Choose Payroll
From Payroll, select the Commission section underneath a staff member
Choose the teal Add Commission option
Enter the Commission Type as either Retail or Service
Enter the Amount and the date commission was earned
Save
To remove the entered commission select the “x” next to the commission on payroll, and choose Yes, delete. To edit the entered commission select the teal edit pencil next to the commission.
Payroll CSV Exports
The current CSV Export does not align with the columns in the in-product payroll. The in-product columns will be synchronized with the export in an upcoming update. It is important to highlight that the columns and data in each specific CSV export vary.
The Employee CSV Export, Contractor CSV Export, and All Staff CSV Export each have different information. In the CSV export class and enrollments are grouped together under the classes column.
