Comp Passes

Comp passes are a way to offer a free class (or classes) to your clients—plus, they can be used in-studio and for livestream.

About Comp Passes

Comp passes can be considered unpaid bookings and can be used to book classes via the front desk, on the Widgets, and the Walla App. Late cancel/ no-show fees apply to comp pass bookings.

What classes comp passes can pay for is not a customizable setting. Comp passes can pay for any class and appointment.

Award a Comp Pass

There are two different ways you can award comp passes to your clients. You can issue a comp pass via a client's profile or via the Class Sign-In page.


​Via the Client's Profile

  1. Pull up a client's profile and select the Actions button

  2. Choose Award Comp Passes

  3. Determine how many comp passes you want to issue, provide the reason, and expiration date.

  4. Save

Via the Class Check-In Roster

You can award a comp pass when adding an existing or new client to a class.

  1. Select a class from the schedule

  2. From the class sign-in page, select Add a client to class

  3. Choose either Add new client or select an existing client

  4. Under Use a plan to pay for this class, select Award Comp pass

  5. Enter the number of comp passes, the reason, and expiration date

  6. Choose Award and Book

View Comp Pass History

  1. Go to your Client’s Profile

  2. From the Overview Tab, scroll down to the Active Plans section

  3. Select the three dots on the top right of the Comp Passes tile

  4. Choose View History

  5. Here you will be able to see when comp passes were awarded, how many, when they expire, and the reason

  6. Select the Usage History tab to see details about the classes comp passes were applied to

Deduct and Refund Comp Passes

Deduct Comp Passes

  1. Go to your Client’s Profile Overview tab

  2. Under Active Plans, you will see Comp Passes

  3. Select the three dots at the top of the comp pass tile and choose Deduct Passes

  4. Here you will be able to deduct the number of passes and the reason why you are deducting passes.

Refund Comp Passes

  1. Go to your Client’s Profile Overview tab

  2. Under Active Plans, you will see Comp Passes

  3. Select the three dots at the top of the comp pass tile and choose View History

  4. Select the Usage History tab

How to Report on Comp Passes

You can use the Transactions Export to view bookings made with comp passes.

  1. From the main navigation menu under Financials select Transaction Export

  2. Select the date range you would like to view comp pass purchases for

  3. Import the data into Excel or Google Sheets

  4. You can filter by comp_pass in column K, Payment Type
