Global Setting: Allow client to pick start date

Enable this setting to allow clients to choose a future start date for their plan when purchasing through the Walla App, Branded App, or Widget. This is essential for presales, as your business is not yet open, and clients will need to select a start date that coincides with your grand opening or a date after that.

Plan-Level Setting: Plan starts on

Set this to "Start immediately at checkout unless alternate date is selected." This ensures that clients can choose a future start date for their plan during the presale period.

Plan-Level Setting: First payment due

Set this to "On plan start date." This setting, known as "Charge Later," means that your business will not receive payment for the presale plans until the selected start date. Clients will not be charged at the time of purchase, but rather on the date they chose for their plan to begin.

Pro tip Clearly communicate the terms of the presale plans to your clients and set realistic expectations regarding plan activation and payment. Be sure to enable the Plan Purchase notification Transactional Notification.

By configuring your presale plans with these settings, you can:

✔️Allow clients to purchase plans in advance of your grand opening and select a start date that aligns with your launch.

✔️ Defer payment for the presale plans until the selected start date, which means you won't receive funds until your business officially opens.

✔️ Ensure that the presale plans only become active and paid for on the chosen start date, which should be on or after your grand opening date.

✔️ Give your staff the flexibility to set future start dates for clients who purchase plans in person during the presale period.
