Updated today

To ensure secure payments and protect your business from fraud, all Property Managers using Wander Sites must verify their identity. We partner with Stripe, a global leader in payment processing, to handle this "Know Your Customer" (KYC) process.

This verification is required for you to become the Merchant of Record (MoR) for your site, ensuring booking revenue is paid out directly to you.

Before You Start: Required Documents

Please gather the following items before initiating the process to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted experience:

  • Tax/Business Information:

    • EIN (Employer Identification Number) if you are an LLC or Corporation.

    • SSN (Social Security Number) if you are an Individual or Sole Proprietor.

  • Banking Information: Account number and routing number for receiving payouts.

  • Government ID: A clear, color copy of your Driver’s License, Passport, or Identity Card.

  • Mobile Phone: A mobile phone capable of receiving SMS codes for two-factor authentication.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1. Initiate Verification in Wander Portal

  • Log in to the Wander Sites Dashboard at app.wander.com.

  • Navigate to Payouts in the left sidebar.

  • Click the button to Connect with Stripe (or "Verify Identity").

Note: This action will redirect you to a secure Stripe-hosted page to handle the sensitive data collection.

2. Account Setup (Stripe)

  • You will be prompted to create or connect a Stripe account.

  • Email/Mobile: Enter your email and mobile number. Stripe will send a verification code to your phone.

  • Business Type: Select your legal entity type (e.g., Individual / Sole Proprietorship or Company / LLC).

Tip: This selection must match your official tax documents exactly.

3. Personal & Business Details

Stripe is legally required to collect this information to comply with financial regulations.

  • Personal Details: Enter your Legal Name, Date of Birth, and Home Address.

  • Business Details:

    • Industry: Select Travel & Transportation > Lodging / Vacation Rentals.

    • Website: Enter your Wander Site URL (or your existing direct booking URL).

4. Payout Information

  • Enter the Bank Account or Debit Card details where you wish to receive your booking revenue.

This account will be the destination for all payouts from your Wander Sites bookings.

5. Identity Verification (IDV)

This is the critical security step, which verifies your physical identity against your legal documents.

  • Upload ID: Select Driver's License, Passport, or Identity Card.

Requirement: You can upload a file or take a photo using your camera. Ensure the image is clear, there is no glare, and all four corners of the ID are visible.

  • Selfie Verification: Stripe may ask for a live selfie to match against your ID photo.

Action: Follow the on-screen prompts to center your face in the camera frame.

6. Review & Finish

  • Review all entered information for complete accuracy.

  • Click Submit or Done.

  • You will be automatically redirected back to the Wander PM Portal.
