After creating your group templates for local charges you can now choose to use them, with their added conditions, when creating your quote.

Find out in the article how you can avoid manually entering conditions by selecting templates with previous conditions added. This is guaranteed to save you time by maintaining these predetermined or standardised parameters.

1. Follow the normal quotation process

To select a Group Template when building a quote, make a rate search and select the rates you’re interested in, as you would if you were creating a quote. Once you’ve selected your desired rates, click on the save symbol.

2. Navigate to the Local Charges tab

After selecting the rates and clicking save, navigate to the Local Charges tab. Here you will see a drop-down called Group Template. Select the template with the conditions you entered to create it.

Important: you can navigate between origin and destination charges by clicking on the city names. You’ll need to select the group template for both origin and destination.

3. Select the group template from the dropdown

Once you’ve selected the previously created group template, all of the local charges you previously specified will be included in the list of Local Charges for that group will appear.

You can choose to alter and remove any of the local charges if they’re not suitable for your client and shipment. Untick the box to exclude specific charges from the quote, change the name of the service, change the rates, currency and finally remove the local charge by clicking the red rubbish can.
