Customizable Threshold Parameters

  • Users can set thresholds for:

    • Soil Moisture – Monitor water content to prevent over- or under-watering.

    • Soil Temperature – Track temperature changes for optimal turf and plant growth.

    • Soil Salinity – Avoid damage due to excessive salt levels.

    • Ambient Temperature & Humidity – Ensure optimal environmental conditions.

    • Precipitation & Evapotranspiration (ET) – Assess water availability and loss.

    • Light – Monitor sunlight exposure.

    • Inline Threshold Editing - Supported threshold values can be edited directly from compatible charts throughout GreenCast Connect Desktop.

      • This allows you to quickly adjust threshold limits and immediately see the updated threshold ranges reflected in the chart without returning to the Threshold Profile page.

Creating a New Threshold Profile

  1. Navigate to the Thresholds Tab on the left panel.

  2. Click the Create New Threshold button on the top right.

  3. Select the sensor type and specific measurement to monitor.

  4. Set the upper and lower limits for the selected parameter.

  5. Name the threshold.

  6. Save the settings, and the system will monitor and alert based on these values.

Managing and Editing Thresholds

  • Users can view a list of existing thresholds within the tab.

  • Thresholds can be edited or deleted based on changing requirements.

  • Alerts are generated when sensor readings exceed or fall below the set limits.

  • Users can receive notifications via the platform for quick responses.

Editing Thresholds Directly from Charts

  • Certain charts throughout GreenCast Connect Desktop allow threshold values to be edited directly from the visualization.

  • To edit a threshold:

    1. Open a chart that contains threshold information.

    2. Select the threshold value displayed on the chart.

    3. Enter the new threshold value.

    4. The chart will update automatically to reflect the change.

  • This provides a faster way to fine-tune thresholds without navigating back to the Thresholds page.

Using Thresholds in Data Explorer
