How to enable Guest Checkout

Enable customers to process an order without having to sign up with an account.

Do you want to make it easy for your customers to purchase from your store without creating an account first?

Guest Checkout is the perfect solution. It allows first-time customers to complete their order without having to create an account but still provides them with the option of setting up an account after finalizing their purchase. This way they can easily return and make future purchases quickly and securely.

In this article we’ll show you:


Making a purchase online

Step 1

First-time customers are not required to sign in or sign up to view your storefront. They can freely browse all your products and services across your branches.

Step 2

A preview of their cart is displayed as they browse and add items.

Step 3

Once they are done making their selections, they can choose to view the cart to complete checkout.

Step 4

To complete the checkout, your customers will need to input the necessary details such as their delivery address, mobile number, delivery option, and mode of payment.

Step 5

To proceed to check out your customer will have be reminded to proceed with guest checkout, create an account, or sign in if they are a returning customer.

Step 6

If they choose to proceed with guest checkout we will require their full name and email address.

Again, this is also for your protection, and full contact details are important if you need to reach out regarding their order.

Step 7

Once they are done, they’ll click on “place order for delivery” and process their payment.

Step 8

Depending on the mode of payment they choose, they’ll be prompted with a QR code (if you set this up in business settings), or the account number to transfer to.

Once they are done, clicking on “complete order” will trigger the order to be sent to your Order management system.


Making a reservation online

Step 1

Making an appointment or booking a service requires a few less steps, but follows a similar process.

From your storefront they’ll be able to browse your services without signing in or creating an account.

Step 2

Once they have chosen the service that they wish to make an appointment for, they’ll be required to enter basic information such as the date of the appointment, the team member who they wish to book, and their preferred time for the appointment.

Once the form is completed, they’ll be required to click on “reserve” to complete the request.

Step 3

Before the appointment shows up on your calendar your customer will be required to share their contact information such as their name, email, and phone number, so that you can reach out to them if you need to clarify and details about their appointment.

Once they are done, they’ll click on add you will be notified of their request. You can view the appointment request in the Task Tool.

Step 4

As a final step, they can confirm that they are done, or they can sign up to make their next reservation easier.


How to enable guest checkout in business settings

Enabling guest checkout is a simple process.

  1. Go to business settings

  2. Click on the Checkout Options tab

  3. And enable guest checkout for orders, reservations, or both.

  4. Click save

And that is it. Your customers are now able to make purchases or reservations without having to sign up or create an account.
