Users, under Settings, shows everyone who has joined your practice, each person's role, and any invitations that are still outstanding. Admins can also remove someone who's left, change roles, and cancel invites here. To send a new invitation, use the separate Invite Users tab instead — see Inviting colleagues.

Opening Users

Go to Settings from the dashboard, then click Users in the settings menu. You'll see a Practice Users panel listing your team; if invitations are waiting to be accepted, a Pending Invites panel appears above it.

Reading the list

The Practice Users table shows each person's Name (a dash if it hasn't been filled in), Email, and Role badge — either Admin or Veterinarian:

  • Admin — can invite new colleagues, cancel pending invitations, remove other people from the practice, and change other people's roles.

  • Veterinarian — a standard team member who can use Whippet for their consults but doesn't see the admin controls described below.

If you're a Veterinarian, you'll see the list and everyone's role, but not the Invite User box or the per-user actions menu — those appear only for admins.

Removing someone from the practice (admins only)

  1. Find the person in the Practice Users table and click the menu (the three dots) at the end of their row.

  2. Click Remove from practice.

  3. A Remove user? confirmation appears. Click Remove to confirm, or Cancel to back out.

Removing a colleague only revokes their access to the practice — it doesn't delete anything from this screen. You can't remove yourself, and the practice owner (the person whose account owns the subscription) can't be removed either; the actions menu simply doesn't appear on those rows.

Changing someone's role

Admins can switch a colleague between Admin and Veterinarian from the same actions menu — click Make admin or Change to veterinarian. For the full walkthrough, see Changing a colleague's role.

Cancelling a pending invite (admins only)

An invitation that hasn't been accepted yet shows in Pending Invites with a Pending badge. Click the menu at the end of its row, then Cancel invite. A Cancel invite? dialog explains that the person will need a fresh invite to join — click Cancel invite to confirm, or Keep invite to leave it in place.

If something goes wrong

  • You don't see the ⋯ menu (the three dots) on any row. Either you're signed in as a Veterinarian rather than an Admin, or the only rows are your own and the practice owner's — neither can be removed.

  • You can't find the Invite User box. It's admin-only. A standard Veterinarian account sees the Practice Users list without it.

  • "Failed to remove user" appears. The removal didn't go through. Close the dialog and try again; if it keeps failing, check your internet connection.

  • "Failed to cancel invite" appears. The cancellation didn't complete. Try again.

  • The list shows "Failed to load users". The team list couldn't be fetched. Refresh the page and try again.

What this doesn't do (yet)

  • Edit someone's name or email. Apart from removing users, changing roles, and cancelling invites, this page is read-only.

  • Invite from this page. New invitations are sent from the separate Invite Users tab — see Inviting colleagues.

For wider practice configuration, see Your practice settings.
