Why it matters
Campaign templates help teams create campaigns quickly and consistently. Instead of rewriting messages each time, you can store reusable SMS, email, or WhatsApp templates tailored to specific use cases. This saves time, reduces errors, and ensures messaging stays aligned across your organisation.
Key Concepts
Campaign template: A reusable message structure that can be selected when creating SMS, email, or WhatsApp campaigns.
Template browser: The modal that appears when you choose to create a campaign using a template.
Template categories: Filters such as channel, industry, use case, or event that help you find the right template.
Custom template: A template created by your team using the same fields and editor as a normal campaign.
Step-by-Step: Use and Create Campaign Templates

The template modal will appear automatically if templates exist for your organisation.

Customise and send.
Update the message, audience, and settings as needed, then send or save the campaign.
Creating a New Template
Open the Templates page.
Go to Campaigns β Templates to view existing templates.
Click Create template.
Select whether you want an SMS, Email, or WhatsApp template.
Fill in Basic info.
Give the template a clear name and choose the appropriate channel.
Add audience logic (optional).
You may add placeholder audience logic if your workflow requires it, or leave this section blank.
Create the message content.
Enter the message body, add variables, attachments, or email formatting depending on the channel.
Adjust schedule and settings (optional).
Templates can store scheduling rules if you frequently use the same configuration.
Save your template.
The template will now appear in the template browser when creating new campaigns.
Tips and Best Practices
Use descriptive names so templates are easy to identify later.
Keep templates generic enough to be reused across multiple campaigns.
Add placeholders, such as {first_name}, instead of specific details that change each time.
Review templates periodically to keep messaging fresh and relevant.
Organise templates by use case (for example, reminders, announcements, follow-ups).
