Why it matters

Duplicating campaigns saves time and ensures consistency across your outreach. Instead of rebuilding a campaign from scratch, you can duplicate an existing one and reuse its message, audience, or full configuration. This is especially useful for recurring communications or campaigns that follow a similar structure.

Key Concepts

Duplicate campaign: A feature that creates a new campaign using the content of an existing one.

Message-only duplication: Copies only the message body and channel.

Message and audience duplication: Copies the message along with the audience settings, including lists, tags, filters, or manual selections.

More options menu: The menu represented by three horizontal dots beside each campaign entry.

Step-by-Step: Duplicate a Campaign

  1. Go to the Campaigns page.

Navigate to the Campaigns section and open the relevant channel (SMS, email, or WhatsApp).

  2. Find the campaign you want to duplicate.

Locate the completed, draft, or archived campaign you want to reuse.

  3. Open the More options menu.

Click the three horizontal dots beside the campaign entry.

  4. Choose Duplicate campaign.

Select Duplicate campaign from the dropdown.

  5. Select duplication type.

Choose one of the following options:

    • Duplicate message

    • Duplicate message and audience

  6. Begin editing your new campaign.

Whippy will create a new draft campaign using the selected duplication option.

Update the name, audience, message, schedule, or any other settings as needed.

  7. Save or send your campaign.

Once edited, click Save as draft, Send test message, or Send campaign.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use duplicate message only when the new campaign targets a different audience.

  • Use duplicate message and audience when repeating outreach to the same group.

  • Always review your audience after duplicating to ensure no unintended contacts are included.

  • Rename duplicated campaigns immediately to avoid confusion in your campaign list.

  • Review automations and schedule settings during duplication, as you may need to update or remove them.
