You can 1) add your business hours in Whippy and 2) use those set days/times to trigger auto responses to texts sent after and during business hours as set in Whippy

How During Business Hours vs After Hours Auto Responses Work

There are two types of auto responses that are triggered based on hours: during and after business hours auto responses.

After business hours

These auto responses are triggered during the hours the Location is set to closed.

These auto responses are triggered whenever a contact sends a message to your number during the closed hours.

During business hours

These auto responses are triggered during the hours the Location is set to open.

These auto responses are triggered only if:

1) A contact has initiated the conversation and there is no conversation history with that contact's phone number

* Example: Jane Doe was recommended your services by a friend. Jane's friend provided her with your number and told her she could text it. Jane has never texted you before

2) A conversation with a contact was marked as Closed (see more info about Closed and Open conversations here) and one hour after the conversation was closed, there has been no message sent to or from the contact

* Example: You sent John Doe a message with appointment information. John confirmed the date and time and a member of the team closed the conversation. John follows up 1 hour and 30 minutes after the conversation was closed with a follow up question
