Sharing cameras in HuntControl is a powerful way to collaborate, whether you’re managing a hunting lease, a ranch, or working with a team. With features designed for flexibility and security, you can grant access to specific users while maintaining complete control over permissions. Here’s everything you need to know about sharing cameras—including how to share with users who don’t yet have a HuntControl account.
Note: this feature is only available on the website version of HuntControl and will be coming to the mobile app mid December, 2024.
How to Share Cameras in HuntControl
Sharing cameras is simple and straightforward:
Open the Sharing Panel
Launch HuntControl at me.huntcontrol.com and navigate to the Sharing panel.Manage Permissions
Select Manage Sharing to customize access for each user. From here you choose which camera you'd like to share (you can select multiple cameras at a time to share) and then select an email to share the camera(s) with.Adjust Permissions by Users such as:
Can the recipient delete images?
Can the recipient tag images?
Can the recipient make XL and Video requests?
Can the recipient change the category of an image?
View Shared Cameras
If someone has shared cameras with you, use the Shared Cameras tab to view them. You then can select the user and see the cameras on the map.View Shared Images
Navigate to the Shared Images tab to see the gallery view of all the images that are shared with you. This view will allow you to browse through all the images. To make changes to images shared with you, you must first filter the images by camera. After that, you will see all the normal HuntControl functions become available if the user allowed you full permissions.
Sharing with Users Without a HuntControl Account
If you’re sharing cameras with someone who doesn’t already have a HuntControl account, the process is just as easy:
When you share the camera to their email, the user will be prompted to create a free HuntControl account.
Once the account is set up, they’ll have access to all the sharing features for the cameras you’ve granted them permission to view or control.
Important Note: Free HuntControl accounts are limited to shared cameras only. To add and manage their own cameras, users will need to purchase a HuntControl subscription.
