The CritterClip was designed to ensure your 12v power cable does not become unplugged from your camera due to some sort of critter pulling on the cord. You can use the CritterClip to lock your cable into the housing of your camera, and keep your cable secured in place.

Simply make a loop with your 12v cable, and "lasso" the cable through the CritterClip. Once you do this, tug on the cable that runs from the CritterClip to your power source. If done right, the cord will not be able to unplug from your camera.
