How to Format an SD Card for Your WiseEye MC2 Camera

Updated over a week ago

Step 1: Choosing an SD Card

(If you purchase a WiseEye SD Card, you do not need to format it in the camera whenever you insert it. They are pre-formatted to our cameras.)

Insert a class 10 SD U3 Card that is 128GB or less into the SD Card slot.

Step 2: Turn the Camera to Setup

Turn the camera switch from OFF to SETUP. Once in SETUP, all 5 LED lights on the Status Panel will illuminate.

Step 3: Decrypting the Color Code

When your SD Card needs to be formatted in the camera, the SD card Light and the Status Light will both illuminate red. Once the camera has Signal, an account link, and battery supply, these 3 lights will illuminate either Green or Yellow. When your SD Card is formatted, both the SD Card light and the Status Light will both illuminate a solid Green. All 5 LED lights should be illuminating a Solid Green.

Step 4: Formatting the Card

While the camera is on SETUP, hold down the "FORMAT" button until the "SD" light begins to flash Yellow. Once the card has formatted, the "STATUS" light and the "SD" light will turn solid Green.

Step 5: Your SD Card is Now Formatted!

Now that your SD Card is formatted, and all lights are displaying Green, take a test picture using the "TEST" button. Once you receive this image in your HuntControl account, use the Remote Control panel in the HuntControl app or browser to change your MC-2's settings using the Real Time connectivity between the camera and HuntControl. Once you receive a test image, and all settings are assigned to your preference, turn the camera to "ON", close the camera door, and simply walk away.
