In this article, we will explain the work list and work list filters.
The work list of samples is the initial and central place for your laboratory.
The work list offers two basic ways to view it:
- By Sample
- By Order
You can choose the viewing mode by clicking on the options "By Sample" or "By Orrder"
When the sample view mode is selected, the samples are displayed one below the other. The order is such that the newest samples are always at the top, followed by the older reported samples, while the samples that were last added are at the very bottom of the list.
From the image itself, we can see that the sample data is clearly displayed, and the color of the sample visually makes it easier to distinguish samples by type.
Here we see the sample number, the type of sample in a color that corresponds to that sample type, the patient's first and last name, the exact date and time of the sample submission, and the sample priority, i.e., whether it is Routine or Urgent.
If the sample is urgent, we have a red "!" mark next to the sample number.
If we open a sample that belongs to an order that has multiple samples reported, this sample will be opened for viewing, but by simply clicking on the samples, we can see other samples in this instruction.
If we want to see the work list by order, select that list view and now we see the list by patient orders, which may contain multiple samples.
We can see how many samples are on the instruction and by clicking on the number of samples, we can see which ones they are without opening the instruction.
Therefore, all samples from a patient's order are grouped under their name, and we can always open the order and review the samples and tests.
Here you also have the option to select how many orders, i.e., samples to display.
You can choose to have only today's submissions on the list, the last 7 days, up to one year.
Work List Filters
A great feature in Wizard Lab is the filters on the work list, which allow you to quickly find all the orders and samples you want.
Let's see how.
Click on "New filter" and say we want to see all urgent samples, then we select the filter option "Urgency" and select URGENT.
After that, only urgent samples will remain on the work list.
If you want to remove this filter and display all samples, click the "X" on the filter.
In this way, you can filter the work list by many parameters, depending on whether you have selected the early list view by sample or order.
If you want, you can add more filters to the existing one. If you want to save this look of the work list, you can save it as a segment.
Read more about segments in the guide by clicking the link below:
If you couldn't find the desired sample using filters, you can always search through the global search of the WizardLab application.
Here you can search by sample number, instruction, patient's first and last name, patient identifier, etc.
The system will return all results, and you can select samples and persons from the search list.
