In this article, we will explain everything about tags, i.e., how to add a tag to an order, add a new tag to the system, and how to later filter the work list by a tag.
First of all, it is important to note that you now enter sanitary instructions using tags.
Adding a Tag to a Submission
Now, in the first step of adding a new order, you will have an additional option to add a tag to the order.
When we click on the tag selection field, we can search for tags by name, and below we will be offered all the tags that have already been used in your laboratory, or that you have already added.
If you cannot find the tag you need, you can add a new tag to the system, but our recommendation is that lab managers do this to avoid an overcrowded list of tags.
We add a new tag by first trying to find the tag by name. In this example, we searched for the name "test tag" which does not exist in the system, so the system offers the option "Save tag."
When we click on "Save tag," a small window opens where we enter the name of the new tag.
After entering the name of the new tag, we need to click "Save Tag" to add the new tag to the system.
Now we are back at the order, and we see that this new tag has been automatically added to this order.
You can add more than one tag to the order, as many as you need. In this example, we will add another tag, "sanitary," by simply selecting this tag from the list of tags.
Finally, you can remove any of the tags from the order by clicking the "x" on the added tag.
When we save and move to the second step of the order, the tag will be clearly visible in the order details.
The tag data of the order will always be visible, and you can later filter the work list by a tag.
Filtering orders by Tag
At any time, we can find all orders by a tag.
We will do this through filters by going to "New filter."
After that, we scroll the list and select the filter "Order tags"
Now we can search for the tag on the filter or select from the offered ones.
For this example, let's select "sanitary"
Now, only the orders with this test tag will be displayed on the work list and we can see at the top that the filter by tag is active.
If you want to disable this filter, just click on the button X next to the order tag name.
This brings us to the end of this guide.
