There are three types of Truck Pro users, each with specific permissions that govern user access within the Work Truck Solutions site. Understanding these distinctions will help you optimize user management and ensure that team members have the appropriate access to perform their roles effectively. We recommend taking the time to review each user’s settings periodically for accuracy and to modify them as needed. You can review the details of these three levels below to gain insights into the accessibility and permissions associated with each:
Truck Pro Permission Levels
Truck Pro
Can perform the following actions on the Work Truck Solutions site:
Can interact & manage their OWN buyers only
Can use Post to Facebook / LinkedIn on Vehicle Details Page (VDP)
Can access Invoice Binder and can view Invoices on VDP
Can access VAST
Inventory Manager
Can do everything a Truck Pro account can do that is listed above, plus all of the following:
Can edit Settings and Preferences & About Page Preferences
Can view all Insight Report Groups within CBI
Edit preferences for VDP’s and on the About Page
Can use the Inventory Management page
In addition, the following settings must be configured to have full access:
Truck Pros with Inventory Manager access will also need to specifically be assigned Manage Pricing permissions in order to edit pricing on the Inventory Management page.
Will need to assigned the Edit Vehicle permission if you want them to only have access to edit vehicles or Edit and Creating permissions in order to add/edit vehicles.
Sales Manager
Can do everything Truck Pro and Inventory Manager accounts can do. To ensure they have full access to all features available to an Inventory Manager, the Inventory Manager setting must be set to "Yes.” In addition, the following settings must be configured to have full access:
Can manage all Truck Pros on Truck Pro Management
Can view and manage all Buyers across all Truck Pros
In addition, the following settings must be configured to have full access:
They will also need to specifically be assigned Manage Pricing permissions in order to edit pricing on the Inventory Management page.
They also need to specifically be assigned Edit Vehicle permissions if you want them to only have access to edit vehicles or Edit and Creating Vehicles permissions in order to add/edit vehicles.
