Before We Get Started
This article refers to actions only accessible by Truck Pros with Sales Manager access.
Steps to Deleting a Truck Pro User
Step 1. Navigate to the Truck Pro Management Page
Log into your Work Truck Solutions site and go to the Tools menu in the main navigation. From the drop-down, you'll select Truck Pro Management.
Step 2. Identify the Truck Pro
Locate the Truck Pro you wish to remove. Once found, you can click the Truck Pro's name to open their profile settings.
Step 3. Transfer Their Buyers
Before deletion, the dealer must transfer any buyers associated with that Truck Pro. As seen below, the profile for the Truck Pro you want to delete will be highlighted gray and two key buttons will appear — a Delete button and a Transfer All Buyers button.
Dealers will want to click on the Transfer All Buyers button.
After clicking on the Transfer All Buyers button, a pop up will appear where you will be able to select which Truck Pro(s) will receive the transferred Buyers.
Pro Tip: Multiple Truck Pros can be selected so the Buyers can be shared among selected Truck Pros.
Step 4. Delete the Truck Pro User
⚠️ Pause and Review: Before proceeding with deletion, confirm that the Truck Pro is not assigned as a Backup Truck Pro in lead rotation or serving as the Dealer Trade contact. These roles will prevent the system from allowing deletion until they’re reassigned. Taking a moment to review this first helps ensure a smooth, uninterrupted process.
Once all buyers have been transferred and the above conditions are verified, you can return to the Truck Pro's profile settings and select Delete. A confirmation prompt will appear — remember to double-check all transfers before finalizing the action.
Troubleshooting
If a Truck Pro has been accidentally deleted, either your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or our Support team can assist in restoring the record. Please contact them directly to facilitate the restoration process.
Conclusion
Deleting a Truck Pro user is a necessary task to maintain security and operational integrity within your organization. By following these steps, you can effectively manage user access, ensuring that only authorized individuals retain permissions to critical systems. Additionally, transferring associated buyers before deletion promotes continuity and preserves customer relationships.
Understanding this process not only enhances your ability to manage user permissions but also contributes to a more organized and secure work environment. Regularly reviewing user access further supports optimal team performance and effective workflow management.
