Supplemental files are a quick-and-dirty, upload anything-and-everything option within every staff file in WorkBright.
To access and utilize the Supplemental portion of a staff’s file,
Supplemental files are best for rare additions to a staff’s file.
The biggest benefit of the Supplemental section of a staff file in WorkBright is it’s ease of use. If you have anything that you’d like to store digitally in WorkBright, all you have to do is click +New File, upload, and you’re finished.
Because of its simplicity and flexibility, Supplemental files are not reportable.
While you can use WorkBright’s Reports tool to report and track the completion status and completion dates of an internal form (such as an upload form titled “Background Check Results”), Supplemental files do not show in Reports. The only way to determine what is contained in a person’s supplemental section is to navigate to their file, click supplemental, and look.
WorkBright recommends that if you plan to upload the same type of document into many staff files, make an internal upload form for that document. This will give you several benefits:
A form dashboard showing all assignments and submissions of that form:
Visual progress on the staff page using the Internal Forms progress bar:
Reportable data in the Reports tool on the form’s completeness, submission dates, and admin completing the upload.
Are supplemental files accessible by the staff member?
Supplemental files are NOT visible by staff under any circumstances. If a document needs to be staff-facing, it must be a form.
Are supplemental files accessible by restricted admins?
If your company is using our premium feature customizable user permissions, restricted admin can be granted or denied access to the Supplemental files portion of whatever staff they have access to:
