There are 2 ways to find and add items to a rubric. We recommend customizing an existing rubric item to save you time while providing flexibility!

On this page:

Adding Rubric Items from 'My Rubrics'

1. From the 'My Rubrics' screen in 'My Assignments', click the pencil to edit an existing rubric.

2. Click 'Add Rubric Item' to browse existing Writable rubric items.

3. From the 'Explore Rubric Items' screen, use the drop-down menus to choose your grade level and narrow down rubrics based on genre. You can also filter by language, select a specific grading scale, or search by specific skills.

Tip! Any rubric items you have created or edited in the past will be in the top 'My Rubric Items' section.

4. Click the rubric item title to expand and view its details, including proficiency labels, grade levels, genres, rating scale, and skills covered.

3. Click the blue 'Add to Rubric' button, or click the 'Copy and Edit' icon to customize the rubric item before adding it to your rubric. Click here for more on editing a rubric item.
