Customizing Your Students' Goals

Why Include Goals in Your Course? šŸŽÆ

Simply put, goals are a powerful tool to keep your students focused on the ultimate prizeā€”reaching the finish line.

Why is this important?
When students set their own goals and visualize success, they are nearly three times more likely to achieve the results you promise. Thatā€™s why we built Goals into Xperiencifyā€”to help you harness the powerful psychological trigger of visualization.

The Magic Number: 3 Goals
Research shows that three goals work best to motivate the most students:

  • One Goal: If it's too easy, motivation drops quickly. Too hard, and it can be demotivating.

  • Three Goals: This range keeps students inspired, pushing them to do more and stay on track.

Thatā€™s why we enable you to set three specific goals for your students right at the top of your membership site:

  1. Minimum Goal

  2. Target Goal

  3. Stretch Goal

How to Set Good Goals šŸ’”

  1. Minimum Goal
Set this goal to align with the Big Promise of your course. (Example: For our course EPM, it's to earn $2,000.)

  2. Target Goal
This should be a step above the Minimum Goalā€”something a little more challenging that inspires students to push harder.

  3. Stretch Goal
The "moonshot" goalā€”the big, ambitious goal that could change their life if achieved.

Remember: Goals can be monetary or non-monetary and should be directly tied to the outcome of your course. Here are some examples:

  • Make $2,000

  • Replace my income and quit my job

  • Eliminate pain from my life

  • Meditate 10 minutes each day

  • Retire on an šŸļø
