This article and video explains what a Proof of Work document is, why it is required, and examples of acceptable and unacceptable documents.
What is Proof of Work?
Proof of Work is a document that ZayZoon uses to confirm your employment with your current employer between pay periods (when a time-tracking system is not available).
Generally, a Proof of Work document will be valid for 5 days, after which a new Proof of Work document will need to be submitted and approved to take a payout.
Why do I need to provide a Proof of Work Document?
To issue your payout, we need to confirm your employment to maintain the accuracy and security of your account and earnings.
Note: multiple failed proof of work attempts may result in the disabling of your account to protect your finances.
Acceptable Proof of Work Documents
All Proof of Work documents must clearly:
Have a visible date in your current pay period
Show your full name
Show the work that you completed (but have not been paid for)
Your proof-of-work document will not be accepted if it contains future dates or if it's a paystub or settlement.
For examples of acceptable documents, check out our article here.
Unacceptable Proof of Work Documents
Types of documents that are not accepted as Proof of Work:
Future-dated documentation
Out-of-date documentation showing dates you have already been paid for
Paystubs or settlement details
Altered documents
Screenshots of the ZayZoon app
Selfies
If you're unable to provide a document proving your continued employment or assignments, regrettably, we will not be able to approve payouts at this time and your ZayZoon account may become temporarily disabled if more than 3 consecutive failed attempts are made.
**The process and criteria may be different for some employers or contracting companies. There are circumstances in which the above criteria does not apply and/or you may be asked to provide alternative documentation, like a paystub to confirm your previous pay period.
