What are the benefits of using the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card for my employees?
Your employees will have access to earned wages without the $5 payout fee, making it easy for employees to get paid as often as they need. In addition, there's no monthly maintenance fee attached.
Prepaid cards do not require a credit check. This means it will be more easily accessible to an employee than traditional bank cards. Employees can easily enroll on ZayZoon’s app.
The ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card is flexible. Employees can use their ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card as direct deposit if they have a second job or reload funds themselves.
The ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card is offered by ZayZoon in partnership with our FDIC insured bank partner, so all funds are safe.
How does the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card work?
Once you activate the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid card, your employees can easily enroll for their card on on ZayZoon’s app.
As part of the employee sign up process, the employee selects to receive their paycheck by direct deposit onto their ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card.
A digital card will be issued after enrolling, with a physical card delivered in 5-10 business days.
The card acts like a debit card, allowing the employees to spend against a pre- loaded balance of money (in this case, earned wages via EWA or direct deposit).
Employees can redeem their earned wages onto the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card ahead of payday. On payday, the remainder of their paycheck will be deposited onto the card. Additionally, employees can fund the card themselves or via direct deposit at a secondary employer.
Are employees responsible for any fees?
ZayZoon’s fees are minimal and we’ve worked to ensure your employees have the bare minimum.
We recommend employees use the card for point of sale (purchasing with the card in person or online), where there are no transaction fees
Like many debit cards, there is an ATM withdrawal fee of $2.50, a $1 ATM decline fee and a $4.95 card replacement fee. The customer does not pay a monthly fee.
How flexible is the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card for employees?
The ZayZoon VISA® Prepaid Card can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. We suggest that the primary use of the card be used like a debit card; for in store or online purchases.
The ZayZoon VISA® Prepaid Card is flexible, meaning your employee can bring the ZayZoon card with them to their next job, use it to continue loading funds on their own or from their payroll.
If their future employer provides ZayZoon, they would be able to continue to redeem their earned wages fee-free onto the card.
If their future employer does not provide ZayZoon, they would be able to continue using their card but not redeem earned wages on the card.
How does an employee access the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card?

Can my employee use their ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card before receiving their physical card? What does "pending activation" mean?
Yes! 👍 When your employee signs up for the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card account, the digital card is created and we immediately get to work sending them a physical card via USPS 1st class mail. At this time, and until the time that they have received their physical card, their account status is "pending activation". This means:
They can deposit up to $3,000 in funds into their card account.
They can make purchases by entering their card details at checkouts online or in-store. These details can be found by clicking "View My Card" under the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card menu.
Once your employee receives their physical ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card in the mail, they can complete activation of their account by following these instructions. If they have not received their card within 7-10 business days after enrollment, they can contact Cardholder Services at 1 (833) 660-1060.
How does an employee activate their ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card account?
Once your employee receives their physical card 7-10 days after enrollment, they will need to activate their physical card. To activate the card, an employee must:
Login to their mobile app or at app.zayzoon.com/customers/sign_in/
Select the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card menu item
Click the "Activate Card" button and enter the activation code provided
This will set their account status to "active" and the $3,000 deposit limit will be removed. The ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card account will work as described in the Cardholder Agreement. If the employee has not received their card within 7-10 business days after enrolling, they can contact Cardholder Services at 1 (833) 660-1060.
How does an employee deposit their paycheck into their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card account?
In order for your employee to deposit their payroll into their ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card account, they'll need to provide you/payroll with two pieces of information related to their card account: the routing & account number, both of which are easily accessible in the ZayZoon app or website (more info below). Once payroll is updated, their direct deposit will go directly to their ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card.
Note that if you receive a paycheck from more than one company, you will need to update your information with each one. You should never share this information with anyone who is not authorized to credit your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account.
Where can my employee find their direct deposit information (routing and account numbers)?
The routing and account number can be found under the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card menu in the ZayZoon App. Simply login to your mobile app or at app.zayzoon.com/customers/sign_in/, select the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card menu item, then click the "Direct Deposit" button.
How does an employee check their card balance?
Employees can view their card balance by logging into the ZayZoon mobile app or at app.zayzoon.com/customers/sign_in/. There is a ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card tile on the dashboard that displays the balance, card status, and recent transactions. They can also view the balance from the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card menu item.
Where can an employee use their card?
Employees will be able to use their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card anywhere debit Visa debit cards are accepted.
Can an employee use their card at ATMs?
Yes, all cards are usable at the ATM. ATM operator may charge a separate fee. Fees may apply. See the Cardholder Agreement for more details.
What happens when my employee's ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card reaches its expiration date?
Funds loaded on the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card will never expire. The card plastic will expire just like any standard debit or credit card. In the event an employee's ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card plastic expires, they can contact the number on the back of the card for a replacement. Replacement details can also be found in the Cardholder Agreement.
Why was my employee's card declined?
A purchase with the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card may be declined if the authorization amount exceeds the available balance. If a transaction is declined, an employee can easily check the available balance via the ZayZoon App as described here. If they are purchasing online, a website must take more than one form of payment if the purchase exceeds the balance on the card. For transactions made over the phone or online, they will need to ensure that you are entering in the billing address that matches their ZayZoon account.
What if my employee's ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card is lost or stolen?
If an employee's card is lost or stolen, they can contact Cardholder Services at 1 (833) 660-1060 immediately to lock the funds and to replace the lost card.
What type of ACH Deposits can be sent to my employee's ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account?
Employees can arrange for their paycheck, government benefits payment, tax refund, or other electronic funds transfer direct deposited to their Card Account using the Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) system (“ACH Deposit”). In order to receive ACH Deposits, they must provide the Routing Number and Account Number as described here. They should never share this information with anyone who is not authorized to credit their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account.
Can an ACH Deposit submitted to my employee's account be rejected?
Yes, if the ACH transaction exceeds the maximum daily limit the ACH could be returned. In that event, the employee would need to contact the sender of the funds to make alternative arrangements. Please refer to the Cardholder Agreement for limit details.
What type of Deposits are not accepted with my employee's ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account?
The following types of deposits will not be accepted:
checks
money orders
cash mailed for deposit
inbound wire transfers to your account number
Can my employee's tax refund be applied to their card account?
Yes, employees can arrange for their tax refund to be direct deposited to their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account. In order to receive ACH Deposit value loads, they must provide the Routing Number and Account Number as described here. Employees should never share this information with anyone who is not authorized to credit their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account.
How can my employee stop ACH Deposits from being applied to their card account?
In order for an employee to stop ACH Deposit value loads on to their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account, they must contact the Payer(s) to notify them to stop making such ACH Deposits.
What happens to my employee's funds if they cancel their account?
Before an employee cancels their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account, they may use an approved method to remove the funds by completing an ATM withdrawal or making purchases.
Are there any fees an employee is responsible for?
Employees are not responsible for any fees to access their earned wages via the ZayZoon App. The card does not have a monthly maintenance fee.
Like many debit cards, there is an ATM withdrawal fee of $2.50, a $1 ATM decline fee and a $4.95 card replacement fee. There is a $3.95 cash reload fee, so we recommend using direct deposit or earned wage access to put funds onto their card to avoid this fee.
There is also a $0.50 ATM balance inquiry fee. To avoid this fee, employees should check their card's balance, card status and recent transactions on the ZayZoon app or by signing into ZayZoon.
What happens if my employee leaves their job? Can they continue using their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card?
The ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card flexible, meaning they can bring the ZayZoon card with them to a secondary job or to their next job. Note:
If their future employer provides ZayZoon, they will be able to continue to redeem their earned wages fee-free onto the card. They can contact ZayZoon Support if they need assistance setting this up.
If their future employer does not provide ZayZoon, they will be able to continue to use the card but will no longer be able to access their earned wages early using ZayZoon payouts.
How old does an employee need to be to get a ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card?
Employees need to be 18 years of age or older to get a ZayZoon VISA® Prepaid Card.
Can an employee get a tax refund on my ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card?
Yes, employees can arrange for their tax refund to be direct deposited to their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account. In order to receive ACH Deposit value loads they must provide the Routing Number and Account Number as described here. They should never share this information with anyone who is not authorized to credit their ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account.
Please be aware that there is a $3,000 deposit limit in place temporarily until the employee receives their physical card and activates it (i.e. within the 7-10 business day window after enrolling). For an active ZayZoon Card, the maximum cumulative daily deposit limit is $5,000. If an employee's anticipated tax refund amount exceeds the amount of $5,000, they should plan to receive their tax refund by check or to a direct deposit account.
