When you take a payout, ZayZoon informs your payroll provider of the amount owed. Deductions are typically processed on your next payday.
The date shown in the app is an estimate labeled as "On or Before," and the exact timing of deductions can vary based on payroll processing schedules.
Below are answers to the most common questions about repayment timing, amounts, and what to expect.
Why did ZayZoon take my repayment early?
The repayment date shown in your app is listed as "On or Before" — this is an estimate based on your employer’s payroll schedule. This estimate serves as a guideline, meaning the deduction may occur earlier or later due to payroll processing timelines.
Your employer or payroll provider processes your repayment directly through payroll. That means your repayment might be deducted before the estimated date, depending on how and when payroll is run.
ZayZoon doesn’t directly take funds from your account — we receive payroll data after it’s processed and update your repayment info automatically.
Check your Activity page for a breakdown. Refresh the app after your employer processes payroll to view the most up-to-date repayment details.
Can I delay, move, or reschedule my repayment?
Repayments are processed by your payroll provider, so ZayZoon cannot change when repayments are made (or how much is deducted from a paycheck). Employers and payroll providers each follow their own payroll schedules, which may cause deductions to happen at different times.
Please note that each payroll provider and each employer have their own processing timelines, which may impact exact repayment dates. If you’re unsure whether payroll has been run, your paystub date is the best reference. These variations mean that repayments could be processed before or after the estimated dates shown in your app.
Can I set up a payment plan or pay in installments?
ZayZoon gives you access to your earned wages. We're not a loan, so we don't offer installment or payment plans.
This helps us provide early wage access without interest or credit impact.
If your account is Overdue, you may be able to repay the Overdue amount in partial or lump sum amounts to reaccess your payouts.
Why was more money deducted than expected?
If too much was deducted, or a duplicate repayment occurred, don’t worry — ZayZoon automatically reviews repayments and will credit your account if there's an issue.
Credits are processed within 48 hours.
You’ll get an email as soon as the credit is available, and you’ll be able to claim it immediately in the app.
If you don’t see a credit or have questions about a repayment, please send a copy of your paystub to our Customer Care Team through live chat in the app.
If you notice deductions for payouts you don't recognize, please report this to a live agent of the ZayZoon Customer Care team through chat or at support@zayzoon.com.
Why was no repayment taken from my paycheck?
If you took a payout right before or after a payroll cut-off day, your repayment may be deferred to the next pay cycle.
Payroll cut-off days are the last day in the payroll cycle set by payroll. This is the last day hours, deductions, and other information is finalized before payday. Payroll cut-off days are often a few days before the official pay date.
Repayments will automatically be deducted from the next paycheck instead.
If this causes your account to become Overdue, you may be able to repay the Overdue amount manually to reaccess payouts.
